Maintenance and Care Guide for High-Speed Shearing and Dispersing Emulsifier

Publication Date:2024-12-02 Author:Shanghai YIKA Source:High-Speed Shearing and Dispersing Emulsifier

The high-speed shearing and dispersing emulsifier has become a standard experimental device in many industries due to its efficient mixing, grinding, dispersing, and emulsifying functions. Its powerful shearing force and high-frequency mechanical effects enable material samples to achieve ideal refinement in a short time, enhancing experimental efficiency. To maintain this high level of performance, regular maintenance and care of the emulsifier are crucial.

Maintenance and Care Guide for High-Speed Shearing and Dispersing Emulsifier:

1.Cleaning: After each use, it is essential to promptly clean the equipment, especially critical components such as blades, impellers, and bearings, to prevent clogging and subsequent damage. Additionally, protecting the equipment from moisture and corrosion is vital to avoid long-term damage.

2.Sealing: Ensuring the equipment’s sealing integrity is key to stable operation. The dynamic and static rings of mechanical seals should be regularly replaced to prevent leaks that could affect emulsification and overall performance. Operators should also regularly inspect all sealing points for leaks. If any are detected, the machine should be immediately shut down to adjust the seal pressure, ensuring it operates in a well-sealed condition.

3.Lubrication: Appropriate lubricating oil should be selected and applied to the rotating parts of the equipment to prevent wear and efficiency loss due to insufficient lubrication. For the motor and reducer, lubricating grease should be regularly replaced, and its viscosity and acidity should be checked to ensure effective lubrication. The upper part of the agitator usually has an oil injection hole, through which lubricating grease can be injected into the bearings when the machine is stopped. This should be done after the internal pressure is relieved, using suitable tools like a syringe and at an appropriate temperature.

4.Component Replacement and Inspection: Blades, impellers, and seals are common wear parts in high-speed dispersing and emulsifying machines and should be replaced regularly. Operators need to periodically inspect these components for wear to ensure the equipment operates stably.

5.Avoiding Idle Running and Reverse Operation: Idle running or reverse operation can cause high temperatures or material crystallization, which can damage the equipment. Additionally, different materials should use appropriate filters, which should be cleaned regularly to ensure smooth material flow into the working chamber.

Maintaining a high-speed shearing and dispersing emulsifier is a systematic and meticulous task. Only by regularly cleaning the equipment, checking and maintaining its sealing integrity, lubricating it properly, and promptly replacing worn components can its stable operation be ensured.
